History

ATA Training Academy, a department of ATA Airlines was founded in 1992 in Indianapolis, Indiana by Amtran Corporation. In the summer of that year its first students were enrolled. ATA Training Academy was acquired in 2004 and renamed Aviation Institute of Maintenance.

Mission Statement
