Hi! My name is Carissa Ferrugia and I am the Director of Education for Centura College of Columbia, SC. My undergraduate degree is in Biology and Chemistry, and my Masters Degree is in Education, Curriculum and Instruction. I enjoy being a part of a college that is committed to high  academic standards in all of our curricular offerings. We are dedicated to providing the services that support our students' efforts to succeed. Centura College promotes values, ethics and high standards among all students, faculty and staff.

I work one-on-one with program coordinators to ensure that we bring into our classrooms the most qualified instructors and instruction for our students. As part of the education department, I meet with field experts and seek recommendations from our Program Advisory Committee (PAC) members. These members provide the most up to date information regarding equipment and technology currently in use for the various programs offered at Centura College. I also work with Student Services and Career Services to ensure that all students are obtaining their needs to ensure success. I am also the website administrator, the faculty and student portal administrator and the student email administrator. Please come see me if you have a problem with any of your online accounts.  My door is also always open to anyone who wants to talk about your education and career goals!
