History

In 1992, the central Virginia, main campus and first training facility known as Beta Tech was located in Petersburg, Virginia. It was licensed by the Virginia Board of Nursing to teach a Nursing Assistant program. In addition, Beta Tech received certification from the Virginia Department of Education to teach business and computer skills. In 1994, it was accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). In 1995, the Petersburg school was moved to Richmond where it was initially located in the Arboretum building complex. Three years later, the main campus moved to its current, expanded location in Richmond on Midlothian Turnpike. In 1999, a branch campus of Beta Tech was opened in the west end of Richmond. The branch in Richmond was relocated in early 2003, giving the school better teaching facilities and more space.
